For substances in scope (those manufactured/imported into the EU above the 1 tonne/year threshold), the substance carries a current ECHA registration number that maps to the SDS. The registration number is available on documentation set on request. For substances below the threshold or outside REACH scope, the SDS specifies the regulatory status explicitly.

When a non-EU manufacturer supplies the EU market, either (a) the manufacturer appoints an Only Representative (OR) in the EU who assumes the registrant's duties, or (b) the EU buyer becomes the importer and inherits the registrant duties. N&T's structural setup — Swiss-domiciled contracting entity over our own non-EU manufacturing arm — means we can serve either model depending on the buyer's preference. The chain is documented on per-shipment basis.

Yes. SDS Annex II compliance is maintained against the most recent Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP) of the CLP regulation. The SDS revision date and the CLP ATP it harmonizes against are visible on each document. Updated SDS issued to active customers within 30 days of an ATP-triggered classification change.

The Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) is monitored quarterly. Where a substance in scope appears on the SVHC list, the SDS reflects the classification and the downstream Article 33 notification is issued to buyers. Substances under Authorization (Annex XIV) with sunset dates are flagged in the qualification dossier.

Annex XVII restrictions are tracked at substance level. Boron-free metalworking fluid alternatives are catalogued and available as drop-in substitutes for buyers swapping from boron-containing formulations. The 17th ATP to CLP (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/849, applicable from 17 December 2022) removed the specific concentration limit for boric acid, so the generic 0.3 % limit for Repr. 1B now applies — that change triggered a documented substitution path, and buyers in active migration receive technical support through the swap.
